LAWRENCEBURG, TENN. — The DownTown Children’s Museum, a highly anticipated addition to the Lawrenceburg community, will officially open its doors to the public on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10 AM. Located in the heart of downtown, the museum is a nonprofit organization designed to provide engaging, play-based learning opportunities for children.

The grand opening marks the beginning of a new chapter for families in Middle Tennessee offering an indoor space where education, community, and creativity can come together. The museum features hands-on exhibits, imaginative role-play areas, and curated spaces designed to promote cognitive, social, and emotional development through play.

“We hope that we have created a space where children can learn and explore in a way that feels both meaningful and memorable,” said Gracee Daily, founder and executive director of the museum. “We believe in the power of play to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and foster connections within our community.”

In addition to daily admission and memberships, the museum will host monthly family-friendly events that encourage quality time, themed experiences, and lifelong memories. Businesses and individuals will also have the opportunity to sponsor playtimes—such as sensory-friendly sessions, special access for local school or daycare groups, and other targeted community needs—ensuring all children have the chance to experience the joy of hands-on learning. The museum will also accept birthday party reservations. Families can choose to simply rent the party room or select an all-inclusive experience where the museum handles everything—decor, food, and fun—with the help of trusted local vendors.

The museum’s exhibits have been made possible through the generosity and vision of its Founding Sponsors, who have financially backed the nonprofit and helped bring this dream to life. These sponsors will each have exhibits designed to cultivate creative play, inspire local pride, and connect children to the world around them. Founding sponsors include:
